Charlotte 49ers freshman shooting guard Shamarr Bowden could return sooner than expected from a should separation that he sustained in the team's Green-White scrimmage game last weekend.
Bowden was initially predicted to return around the time of the 49ers NIT preseason tournament in Durham. Bowden will sit out Charlotte's exhibition opener against Johnson C Smith tomorrow but is projected to be ready to go for the 49ers season-opener at home next Friday night against UNC Asheville.
49ers forward An'Juan Wilderness sustained a calf strain in practice this week but is expected to be ready for tomorrow night's game against Smith.
