Vols need to pound the rock
Tennessee needs to try and play the power running card and play solid defense in the upcoming season. With senior WR Austin Rogers already out for the season, Tennessee's best deep threat, Denarius Moore will be sidelined for 8-12 weeks with a broken bone in his left foot. Big Orange also has questions at the QB position. Will it be Jonathan Crompton who showed very little promise last year, or will it be Nick Stephens, who shared playing time with Crompton in 2008. The Vols need to keep it on the ground with incoming freshman Bryce Brown, the 8th best recruit in the nation, and junior Lennon Creer. Monte Kiffin's Tampa Two cover scheme should help an already stout Tennessee defense improve it's position among the SEC's best.
